The Open Hands Initiative hosted a Youth Ability Summit in August 2010. In three days, 10 youth disability advocates from the United States met with 13 Syrian counterparts to discuss the rights of people with disabilities. During this time they brainstormed ideas for a comic book that would become what we now know as the "Silver Scorpion."
