Two communities on Cape Cod were selected to receive technical assistance from EPA through the Southeast New England Program (SNEP) for coastal watershed restoration to design, construct and monitor performance of two sub-surface gravel wetlands in order to treat stormwater and reduce nitrogen loadings into coastal waterbodies of Chatham and Barnstable, Massachusetts. This video highlights the nitrogen pollution problem on Cape Cod and explains the benefits of implementing this type of best management practice to improve water quality and ecosystem health.
