Welcome to a brief overview of the main characteristics and features of QF-Test.
QF-Test is a GUI test tool for functional system and load tests of the company Quality First Software, based in Southern Germany.
QF-Test enables automated testing of Java, Web and Windows applications and runs cross-platform on Windows, Linux/Unix and macOS.
In Java the Standard Tool kits Swing and Eclipse/SWT as well as JavaFX are supported - including plugins, RCP applications, applets and WebStart.
In the Web area, beside static HTML pages, dynamic technologies such as AJAX in particular are a challenge for test tools. QF-Test offers an outstanding and powerful approach here. QF-Test can test web pages cross-browser: Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome (also Chromium based), Edge, Opera and Safari. Headless browser versions of Chrome and Firefox. Electron Applications can be tested as well.
Desktop Windwos applications: Win32, .NET (often C#), Windows Forms, WPF, Windows Apps and C++ (often Qt).
Another feature is the testing of PDF documents.

The intuitive, object-based operating concept of QF-Test allows for a quick start and is suitable for testers and developers. Test sequences can be recorded directly and effectively using capture / replay. The sequences obtained can then be easily adapted and turned into reusable, modular test cases and libraries.
Critical for stable GUI tests is adaptive and robust component recognition. QF-Test is providing a sophisticated algorithm for that. Even complex components such as trees and tables are supported by QF-Test perfectly and can be addressed and reviewed variously.
For the analysis of errors during a test run, QF-Test creates detailed and especially intuitively interpretable protocols and configurable reports.
The excellent documentation in manual and tutorial eases the daily work. In case you can't find a solution by yourself, you may ask for our expert support from QF-Test developers. For a professional start we also offer a variety of training options - at your site, at QFS or as online training.
QF-Test has proven itself for more than 18 years in the market and has over 1,300 customers in 55 countries.
