The Church are without doubt one of the most iconic and individual
Australian bands of the last 50 years. Spawning hits such as Under The
Milky Way, the band have veered in and out of popular music territory,
wandering through a wide spree of styles from psychedelic to new wave,
all done with a DIY punk attitude and approach. Famed for their
outspoken views on the music industry, things went pretty much as
you'd expect them when we caught up with guitarist Peter Koppes and
drummer Tim Powles at Homebake, the two of them giving us a slice of
their minds in regards to a few choice topics, including the
Australian music industry and triple j.
