BACKGROUND:

In addition to honoring celebrities for their work to inspire others,
and a night filled with great musical performances, one young "do-
er" (age 25 and under) will receive a grand prize of $100,000 for
their cause. This is the largest and most prestigious prize in the
world for young people and social change.

This year's five nominees have gone above and beyond to make a
difference addressing important issues ranging from educating the
youth of Honduras, helping the Ethiopian Sudanese community,
advocating for foster children, mobilizing creative healing while
encouraging creative development and raising awareness of the
global water crisis. All nominees will be rewarded with a $10,000
community grant and continued support from DoSomething.org.
Nominees include Manyang Reath Kher, Meg Bourne, Danny
Mendoza, Katia Gomez, and Seth Maxwell.
