Full details at http://chrissansom.net/works/harrison..., but in the meantime...

The theme is 'Red Lady Too' from GH's music for the film 'Wonderwall'. My variations, from 1975, are for an unusual septet: bass clarinet, trombone, double bass (I like low instruments!), harp, keyboards (1 player with celesta and clavinet) and 2 percussionists with metal and wood instruments. Hard to play and as yet unperformed, hence my very accurate but rather soulless computer realisation... anyone out there who could take this on?

This is a new mix with far better sounds than before: EastWest Hollywood Orchestral Woodwinds for the bass clarinet, Sample Modeling's wonderful Trombone, Pianoteq for the celesta, vibraphone and all but the top octave of the xylorimba, NI Battery for most of the unpitched percussion and various Kontakt instruments (VSL, Abbey Road 60s Drums, Scarbee Clavinet, etc.) for the rest.
