Please, please watch in HD! :)
*Spoilers for all episodes of Sherlock!
Alrighty, I have a lot to say about this, so if you're not up for reading a novel, obviously feel free to disregard my description and just watch :P. This is a Sherlock video focused mainly on "The Reichenbach Fall." I basically wanted to hone in on Sherlock's experience on the edge of the roof and how his relationships affected his final moments before the fall.
I avoided coloring and used minimal effects because I really wanted the clips to speak for themselves (as they do so brilliantly in the show).
Now, to my random thoughts/feels:
I watched the first 5 episodes of Sherlock a few months ago over winter break and postponed watching the finale due to being busy/schoolwork/I wasn't really prepared for all the emotions that I knew would come with the finale :P. But I finally got to watch over my spring break, and... Wow. 2x01 was my favorite episode by far before The Reichenbach Fall, but after seeing that... That episode was literally untouchable. The performances, the editing, the writing... EVERYTHING. I know I'm just stating the obvious, since you probably won't be watching this unless you're a Sherlock fan, but... ugh. I'm still floored by how incredible/captivating these ninety minutes were. More specifically...
1) The Molly scenes. HOLY CRAP. I definitely ship Irene/Sherlock too, but omg... Molly just brought something out of Sherlock that we'd never seen before in those two scenes. He was so incredibly vulnerable and trusting. I'm not sure who I ship now, but both pairings are E P I C.
2) MORIARTY. Definitely one of the best villains ever. He was so b r i l l i a n t in this episode (as always haha). Every line had a unique and surprising delivery; he was literally insane. While his death was perfect and obviously necessary, I'm really sad that he won't be back for more.
3) John/Sherlock... lolololol funny :P. Still can't really talk about this. Sherlock's speech to John on the roof... And then John's monologue at the gravestone. Yeah. One of the most emotional and captivating performances I've seen in a LONG time.
Most of you I'm sure have already experienced all of these feels, but I couldn't not attempt to put mine into words. Basically, this show is flawless. As is this fandom- from what I've seen so far, everyone's so respectful towards each other/legitimately cares about the show. Can't wait to vid and delve more into the wonder that is Sherlock. THE END ahaha.
All information is at the end of the video. I've been wanting to use this song for awhile for obvious reasons haha... finally I had something to use that truly matched its epicness :P.
