Rolling Meadows Elementary School is learning about different cultures in a unique and hands-on way. Students spent the first six weeks of school working on a core knowledge unit, that focused on different parts of the world. Each grade level and each pod focused on a different place. Students were able to learn everything they could about their assigned part of the world and then share that information with other grade levels. In addition, teachers spend a lot of time focused on journaling. Teachers and students know that effective journals are essential to learning.
