Plot: Easter Weekend is a historical thriller set in biblical-era Palestine during the three days after the Nazarene leader of a small Jewish sect was executed by the occupying Roman army, at the request of the prominent local Jewish religious/political authority.

The story centers on the widow of the Nazarene, Mary, and two other women, (Mary's good friend Salome, and Mary's mother-in-law, also named Mary). Mary has a lot to deal with. Her husband is dead. His followers are scared and need coddling, and some of them blame her for their leader's death. She is being harassed by the local religious politicians. Her mother-in-law, with whom she has never had a completely healthy relationship, is needy and selfish. And Mary has a very big secret that threatens to ruin the reputation of her dead husband and destroy any hope of his legacy.
