How to clean a puch moped carb

This video will show you how to remove, clean and reinstall the bing carburetor off of a Puch Maxi sport moped step by step
Removal
1. turn off the gas
2. remove L/H side panel to gain access to carb
3. remove air filter
4. losen elbow joint screw
5. remove 2 nuts holding the elbow to the cylinder intake using a #10 socket (a universal adapter will help)
6. pull elbow up over studs and turn carb housing so it doesnt rub on frame
7. remove elbow from carb housing
8. remove fuel line with a #12 socket
9. remove 2 top screws from housing
10. pull top straight up, the throttle cable can stay in the slide assembly
11. remove choke plate from choke lever
Disassembly
1. remove bowl with #14 socket
2. remove pin
3. remove float and needle valve
4. remove jet assembly with #5 socket
5. remove idle adjustment screw and spring (make note of about how far in it was)
Cleaning
1. clean everything with carb cleaner and dry, running though a ultrasonic cleaner will also help, just clean and dry off all parts after
2. make sure bowl has so sediment in it
3. blow out the jet using carb cleaner
Reassembly
1. reinstall idle screw and spring
2. install jet assembly
3. put needle valve back in the slot on the float and line up with hole on carb housing
4. install pin
5. reinstall bowl. do not over tighten or you will ruin the gasket
Reinstalling on bike
1. line throttle slide up with slot on the inside of the carb housing
2. using a small object align needle jet with hole in housing
3. install choke plate
4. install housing top and 2 screws
5. install elbow but dont tighten
6. install fuel line
7. install air filter
8. line elbow up on studs on cylinder
9. put carb housing straight up and down and tighten elbow clamp screw
10. tighten the 2 nuts for the elbow on the cylinder intake
11. tighten air filter
Turn on the fuel and prime the carb using the little black primer to get gas in the bowl
Start it up and adjust the idle
