Our friends at Losmandy make a great product called StarLapse (http://www.losmandy.com/starlapse.html). It is a slowly rotating motor made for tracking stars through telescopes. But it can also be easily mounted on a tripod and used for creating a panning effect while shooting a time lapse. Achim mounted his iPad 2 to the StarLapse using the Makayama Movie Mount and gave it a spin in his home town of Leoben in Austria. The time lapse was recorded with iStopMotion for iPad and edited by our 14 years old intern Svenja with Final Cut Pro.
