Many medical products used in the NHS are produced in unhealthy, unsafe and unfair working conditions. Workers in the developing world often are poorly paid and are exposed to hazardous conditions where they risk serious injury and even death to make goods bound for the NHS. There is also evidence of child labour and bonded labour (a form of slavery). If you believe that workers in developing countries should not risk their lives to manufacture equipment used to save lives in the UK -- get involved in the Fair Medical Trade campaign. http://www.fairmedtrade.org.uk
