Damien ARIBERT is a french classical guitar teacher, composer and concertist. He's playing "I love you" (composed by Peo Kindgren) recorded in "L'atelier de l'onde" by Renaud GALABERT in Entraigues sur la Sorgue, France. He plays exclusively on a classical guitar made by Renaud GALABERT.
Born in 1981 in Bagnols sur Cèze, France, Damien Aribert started to study the classical guitar at the age of 7 with Evelyne Lacheret and further with Brigitte Repiton. In 2000 he entered the National School of Music and Dance (ENMD) in Romans sur Isère in the classes of Gilles Gogniat, where he received the degree « DEM » (Diplome dEtudes Musicales). From 2004 on he refines his abilities with Emmanuel Rossfelder (Classical music victories 2004, Alexandre Lagoya's heir) and in 2008 he obtains the national degree of guitar teacher at CEFEDEM-Sud (Centre de Formation des Enseignants de la Musique) in Aubagne.
He teaches classical guitar at the School of Music in Isle sur la Sorgue.
Damien Aribert is also composer. His repertoire is very eclectic, he wrote and created a lot of works, notably: - a suite for 4 violoncellos in honour of APOCALYPTICA - a piece for solo guitar LA ROSSFELDA (dedicated to his last professor Emmanuel Rossfelder) edited at Editions du Petit Page.
He performed: - on several regional and national scenes (Aubagne, Marseille, Avignon, Vénéjan, La Garde Adhémar, Comps, Valréas, la Baume de Transit, Pernes les Fontaines) - at a number of festivals (les Rencontres Musicales de Cavaillon, les Musicales St. Roch, Le Festival des Vents in Morières les Avignon)
He participates in concerts of chamber music with Dominique Vidal, Frédéric Chatoux, Jacqueline Bourgès Maunoury.
In 2004 he released a CD dedicated to his compositions figures de style. At this moment, he prepares a new CD with new compositions around jazz, which will be produced in the USA in 2010.
Damien Aribert plays a hand-built guitar made by the luthier Renaud Galabert (Entraigues sur la Sorgue).
