Duke Energy customers in Ohio are experiencing just one of the benefits of digital technology -- more transparency. With digital technology in place, customers are able to see their daily energy usage online in one-hour increments. Having this information available on a daily basis can help customers make wiser energy decisions and avoid billing surprises at the end of the month. Of course, how our customers use the information is completely up to them - and only them - since the new grid gives consumers, not utility companies or the government, more power over energy choices.
