If you want to learn how we made this video and how to create your own memorable short video you can read more here: http://thereadinessisall.com/2014/01/...

There are two techniques mentioned in the video. The first is a modified Socratic Seminar called BRAWL. You can read about how to do a BRAWL at: http://mrtheriaultfvhs.wordpress.com/...

When I fought the "In class silent essay" opponent I countered with my students' blogs. You can read about how I created the RE:Framed blogging project here: http://mrtheriaultfvhs.wordpress.com/...

Here is the prompt from the Google Teacher Academy: "The original one minute video must be on one of the following topics: "Motivation and Learning", "Classroom Innovation," or "Positive Change in My Community.""

I shot footage of my students and teachers talking about some strategies that don't work and some footage of the BRAWL and my student blogs, but I had to cut those out due to time, I also had close-ups and footage of every poster that the students were holding up in the closing shot that would have filled in some of the ideas and due to time those also will end up in the directors cut/extended version.
I would also like to thank Senor Yarnton and

Matt Pocta, Tue Duong, & Andrew Staffieri who filmed and produced the video with me. You can see more of their work at

The music on this clip was coutesy of Kent Carter The songs were "Dangerous" and "West of Alamein." Kent is a music composer worth checking out. He is a friend of Sean Ziebarth's and we used the music with Kent's permission. You can see his work at: http://kentcarter.com
