How to Play an A Chord

Form of the Song

"I Want You (She's So Heavy)" is the track by
The Beatles from the band's 1969 record, Abbey Road. The song was written and composed by John Lennon. He plays the heavy guitar, as well as the solo, while he sings the lyrics, but he plays what he sings. The song has a very successful rendition in the Beatles musical, Across the Universe, which uses incredible choreography and art direction.
Abbey Road was named after the studio used to record the album. Abbey Road Studios is now home to emerging musical artists and Beatles commemorators.

The song may seem a bit daunting when you hear it, or even watch the video, but if you remember that the root note is the A chord, and that everything stems from that and knowing the scales, it is really not so bad. There is little strumming in the eight-minute track, and just as few lyrics. The song has its focus on Lennon's guitar playing

"I Want You (She's So Heavy)" uses the following song form:

* Intro
* Verse
* Verse
* Refrain
* Verse (instrumental)
* Refrain
* Verse
* Outro (abrupt cut-off)
