Oracle Real Application Clusters (Oracle RAC) offer unique capabilities for high-availability and local disaster recovery of mission-critical databases. Zero downtime can be achieved in cases of localized disasters by using two or three sites located up to 100km apart. Unlike replication techniques, in extended distance clusters the data is mirrored synchronously across the sites. At any given time all locations have exact full copy of the data. In this webinar you will learn how to build high-speed extended distance Oracle RAC clusters using commodity servers, commodity NVMe SSDs, and FlashGrid software.
Speaker: Artem Danielov, FlashGrid Inc.
