Starting at 1500m this stunning run ascends to 1800m and the top of the Pisa Range before it plunges into a quad-crunching 1500m descent to finish at the Albert Town Tavern near Wanaka. It's NZ's highest mountain marathon. It's also one of the toughest and most scenic runs around. Organised by Highland Events and run every January it's a Must Do for trail runners of all abilities.
