Just my old truck firing up. Temp was roughly 50F, not exactly Dave's Farm cold, but still kinda chilly. Started it to do some minor carburetor adjustments, decided to record a few seconds of it.
Engine has 260,000 miles on it, so there will be some random valve ticking. And yes, I sound like an idiot. :p No, it doesn't have stacks, no it doesn't have swampers, and no I'm not a hick. O, and yes, I know it's a beat up old piece of junk. But it runs pretty damn good, it goes where I point it, and it stops again. Can't ask for much more from a vehicle, eh?
The sucking sound is normal. ANY engine which is speed controlled by a valve on the intake will make that noise. It is NOT a vacuum leak. Trust me, if it was, I would have fixed it.
