Getting Started with SilverSneakers:
You may already know that Silver Sneakers is the nation's leading exercise program for older adults, but what you may not know is how easy it is to get involved and how much fun you'll have when you do.

SilverSneakers fitness locations are chosen for their safety, accessibility, amenities and overall welcoming environment. Activating your membership in the SilverSneakers fitness program is as easy as showing your ID card at a participating location. There are no limits to the days or times you can visit.

Once the staff determines your eligibility, you'll complete a few simple forms, then you're ready for a tour. No matter what your goals for losing weight, to increasing strength and stamina, to just improving overall health, each location has a staff person dedicated to helping you make the most of the SilverSneakers Experience.

What's included in a SilverSneakers Membership?
Because each member's needs are unique, there are many different ways to create your SilverSneakers Experience. Many sites offer amenities such as fitness equipment, treadmills, free weights, pools, saunas and the signature SilverSneakers classes designed for older adults and taught by certified instructors. Fitness equipment and amenities do vary from location to location, but as a SilverSneakers member, you'll receive everything included in a basic membership at a participating location. You can even take your SilverSneakers membership with you when you travel to any of our nationwide locations.

But SilverSneakers is not just about fitness, it's also about fun and friends. With ongoing events like potlucks, speaker events, raffles and dances, you'll find plenty of options to add to your social calendar.
