Another filming day in City of Poway with Desmond (garbagekid1), and actually our second time trying to get this on film. I like the flexibility of the trucks from the Kearny Mesa EDCO yard which serves this city's residential and commercial. This truck, for instance, is used in the first hours of the morning on recycle, and the rest of the day on manual greens. And it's not uncommon for drivers to run a manual truck in the morning doing greens, and then return in the afternoon with an ASL to do trash on the same route. Toter tippers have been installed on every one of their MSLs which makes them extremely versatile in what they can collect.
This truck had been doing a full run of manual recycling in Solana Beach the day before, so it was CRAMMED full, meaning it took a lot more work to add on all these apartment recycling stops. A big thank-you goes to the awesome driver we met! Comments on the video please...
If you get bored of the first stop, skip to 6:21 where things start getting better (IMO)
