Presenter: Joan Strohauer Joan Strohauer is currently an Education Programs Consultant with the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR). In this capacity, she oversees California's Virtual Training Center. Prior to joining CalHR, Ms. Strohauer worked for six years at the California Department of Education as an Education Programs Consultant in the Charter Schools Division and as a Training Manager in the Personnel Division. She also previously worked on the HR Modernization Project team.
As a Senior Training and Development Specialist for twenty years at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and the US Office of Personnel Management (USOPM), she managed all aspects of the employee development function, specializing in new program development, needs assessment, and training evaluation. At DLA, she spearheaded the development of a leadership program attended by over 800 employees that was awarded the DLA national Business Reengineering Champion Award.
