Trayvon Martin's parents expressed relief Wednesday evening over a special prosecutor charging the man responsible for the 17-year-old's death. His mother said if she could speak directly to George Zimmerman, she would give him a chance to say he is sorry for what happened.

The neighborhood watch volunteer was arrested and charged with second-degree murder after months of mounting tensions and protests. Zimmerman, 28, could face life in prison if convicted in the unarmed black teenager's death.
