Something different from me and a first too!

I have plenty of wet walnut, which this piece is around 20-30% moisture in places. I purchases the Simon Hope hollowing rig the other week at UKIWS and decided to make a vase with it.

Certainly quite a challenge with the piece being wet.

The walnut is also fairly plain and I decided to put some leather lace around the top. Using my new Index system from the previous project 12 equal holes were drilled to take the lace.

Sanded to 400 grit and it received about 5 coats of Danish Oil to finish it off.
