Initially there are 10 A (yellow) molecules diffusing rapidly in the 3D compartment. When an A molecule collides with the filament subunit (red) it binds to the filament with unit probability and forms A_filament (blue). A_filament molecules perform 1D random walk on the filament and can detach to the volume compartment at the rate of 100/s.
