The story of Mrs X and her family highlights a combination of untold hardship unempowered women and girls in todays modern society face. The multifaceted issues include: Maternal health: The impact of multiple births and the quality of ante natal care on her long term health. Her ability to sustain her family. The ENVIRONMENT: of course a swampy area breed mosquitoes and are prone to MALARIA, POOR HOUSING, the lack of access to CLEAN WATER, EDUCATION ,awareness about BIRTH CONTROL all have direct impact on the children's well being and development too. In tackling poverty in our midst, we have to start by investing in girls and women.
