This song was nominated for an Oscar and was featured in the movie, "Centennial Summer" which starred Jeanne Crain and Cornel Wilde. Music by Jerome Kern.

Released as a single in May 1946. This version of the song, along with versions by Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Ray Bloch, Dick Haymes and Helen Forrest, Tommy Jones, Vincent Lopez, Art Mooney, the Three Suns and Margaret Whiting all competed for popularity. It appears from the Billboard charts that the versions by Perry Como and Frank Sinatra were the most played in juke boxes of the time. Later on, the song was recorded by others such as Kenny Drew, Joni James, Betty Carter, Kiri Te Kanawa and Patty Duke.
