The Israeli foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman has made statements not associated to an Israeli politician: that Hamas has emerged diplomatically and militarily stronger after Tel Aviv’s military campaigns against Gaza in recent years. He further added that Hamas has gained more politically since the war, and if elections were to take place, Ismail Haniyeh would win it by 66%. In this edition of the debate, we’ll discuss why Lieberman has made these statements, and why his statements go contrary to the actions of Israel itself, like when he said the international coalition must operate permanently "against the terror world”, when Israel has committed acts of terrorism itself.
