This is a timelapse of most of Interstate 77's newest portion, from Columbia to Charlotte, completed in 1995. The exception is the part between Rock Hill and Charlotte, and Columbia's Beltway, which part of it used to be Interstate 326. I started the video while getting on S.C. 277 (often given the false name Interstate 277 (the real one is in Charlotte)) from Interstate 20. I was on S.C. 277 for about a mile until reaching Interstate 77. The Interstate 20/Interstate 77 interchange is organized into what I call a triangle system. Three freeways intersect each other at different points and serves as one "spread out" interchange, which I believe is very efficient for high traffic. Leaving 277, I continued down I-77 until I reached S.C. Highway 5 and U.S. Highway 21, which I got off on to head towards Rock Hill.
This timelapse is part of a road timelapse experiment. 1. Timelapse with no audio edits (U.S. Highway 178). 2. Timelapse with major audio edits (U.S. Highway 378). 3. Timelapse with music (Interstate 77).
