In the winter of 1959, nine hikers ventured into an isolated region of the Russian Ural Mountains led by their brazen leader, Igor Dyatlov. Two weeks later, their bodies were found bearing inexplicable injuries caused by, what the official Soviet investigation deemed: "An unknown compelling force".
