Remember that weird sound that came out as you entered the last level of Doom 2? I reversed it and show what it really means... and who you're really trying to kill to beat the game.
Answering all the questions everyone has posed:
Q) Who is John Romero? A) John Romero was one of the top guys at id Software until he quit and started various other companies. He is the "face" of id until around Quake 2.
Q) How did you reverse the sound/capture it? A) I captured the video using Doom95 and Fraps (look it up). The audio is edited with a free program called Audacity (look it up)
Q) How did you get in to see him? A) Cheat codes. IDDQD (god mode) and the no-clipping code (different depending on what version of Doom you run)
Q) How did you first hear about this? A) I didn't. At the time I played Doom I was messing around with sounds, mainly because of everyone saying if you played certain songs backwards you could hear messages. The sounds from Doom sounded "backwards" to me since I had been playing around with so many songs. I tried it one day and viola... didn't make this video until long afterwards.
Q) What program did you use to make the video? A) It was Windows Movie Maker at the time, I use Sony Vegas now. Highly recommend the latter.
Q) What's the sounds at the beginning of the video, on the title screen? A) It's the beginning of Marilyn Manson's version of the rhyme that Willy Wonka sings in the old movie. "There's no telling where we're going, which direction we are flowing, etc..."
