As a part of its continual effort to expand the AdWords system, Google has just launched a new facility called Website Call Conversions. This facility adds a new conversion type to the AdWords system, and permits webmasters to track phone calls which take place whenever a user lands on a website after clicking on an AdWords ad.
Webmasters can add some code to their website which will permit them to track when calls were made by buyers who clicked on a phone number. In addition, the code makes it simple for webmasters to track buyers who dial the number manually too. It manages this by offering a specific Google forwarding number, instead of the normal number for the company.
