If you use the WhatsApp messenger all the data on your phone concerning your contacts will be transmitted to WhatsApp. But giving out your contacts data is illegal if you don't have their permission. Lawyer Christian Somecke from cologne warned about the risks of using this messenger for a long time now. Now the district court of Bad Hersfeld commited a mother to get the permission of every single contact in her sons adressbook so he can use WhatsApp fully after german law.
