Joe Manchin’s campaign released a new television ad that shares the story of Natalie Hardy from Harpers Ferry, WV. She’s one of 800,000 West Virginians with a pre-existing condition.
Natalie, like many West Virginians, is concerned about Attorney General Patrick Morrisey’s push to take away health care coverage for people with pre-existing conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. If Morrisey has his way, big insurance companies would be able to deny coverage for people like Natalie and any West Virginian with a common pre-existing condition.
“West Virginians know that Joe Manchin is on their side and will fight to protect people with pre-existing conditions,” said Natalie Hardy, a Jefferson County resident. “Patrick Morrisey is trying to take away insurance coverage from people like me and anyone with diabetes, heart disease, or cancer. Morrisey thinks I should have to pay more out of pocket every time I go to the doctor, get blood work, or get a prescription filled.”
