Well the recent bad weather seems to have spurred one of my bufo bufo to produce eggs. She's HUGE now so I decided to try them in a rain chamber. Problem was, all the supplies from my old one were melted in a garage-fire last month so I had to start from scratch, so I decided to go the tried and tested holey-hose method. The wooden frame is needed as there is no strength left in the lid of the tub due to having huge vents cut into it (It was used to house a breeding mealworm colony), plus I liked the idea of the hose not being connected to the lid to aid viewing etc. Anyway... the male is loving the water, and he still has his nuptial pads... the female squeezed into the hide (She's wider than an exo medium hide entrance so had to go in at an angle!!!) and hasn't come out yet !! We'll see what happens over the next week.
