http://uneasylisa.wix.com/lisaharris I have always loved art. My first love is painting, but I am fascinated by all forms of artistic expression. During the late 70's, I was entranced by the idea of photo realism before there was a name for it... there was no protocol, and certainly no encouragement... the professors chastised me with "if you WANT a photograph, TAKE a photograph". I became discouraged and I dropped out. 35 years have passed and I have started painting once again, this time with some maturity and insight that I didn't have in my youth. My dysfunctional childhood left me with very few life skills, little self esteem and no confidence. I suffer from PTSD... stuck in survival mode. My art, driven by some inner force, is less about attempts to please others, and more a part of a journey as I struggle to recover from the trauma. Art for me, is my "safe place" to go as I examine and come to terms with my PTSD. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST! please visit my website.
