A Blackhawk helicopter uses a bambi bucket to drop loads of water on the High Park Fire in the Roosevelt National Forest which is west of Fort Collins, Colorado near Poudre Canyon. This was one of two Blackhawks that were among the many civilian aircraft that were being used to drop water on the fires. The Colorado Army Aviation also provided a search and rescue SAR aircraft with specialized hoisting capabilities should they be needed.
