MORE Fox News Bias at http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list...

The bias against atheists and atheism on Fox News is consistent, as I've documented in multiple videos, so much so that it almost seems like I could start a contest for the dumbest anti-atheist question of the month, as I show in this video.

The 3 clips from the Fox News story about the Pennsylvania town of Chambersburg and its decision not to allow any holiday displays in the town square this year come from the program "Fox and Friends" broadcast on November 27, 2009 (which I could not find available online), including the question from Fox News anchor Ainsley Earhardt.

The image of my previous video titled "Citing Atheists Offensive in Obama Inaugural Address?" comes from the YouTube video page at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twoXZE...

I got some additional facts about the decision in Chambersburg, PA, like the possible new location of the nativity scene and the content of the sign proposed by the atheist group, Pennsylvania Nonbelievers Inc, by reading the news story online at http://www.herald-mail.com/?cmd=displ...

And, finally, as always, you can find DOZENS and DOZENS more examples of Fox News bias on my Fox News bias playlist on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list...

Since an atheist is most likely not to believe in an afterlife, paradise or reincarnation, his deed of sacrificing his or her life is even more honourable, as it the the most valuable thing he/she could give. But this is not a qualifier in any way. Every individual who sacrifices health or even life for the community should be honoured, no matter of what belief or non-belief.

if afterlife would be so great for theists, why do they see doctors after all? they should welcome every chance to get to their god earlier, and actually, not having your disease treated isn´t suicide so it would be a legitimate loophole in the laws of the most gods. Funny though, if you talk to nurses in homes, those who actually do believe are in the overwhelming majority of the cases also those who are most afraid of death. Makes sense, everybody knows his personal life best, and not even a saint really is able to live according to the rules in any situation, so everybody who really believes must be quite sure he will go immediately to hell after death.

taikoJH if afterlife is so good for theists, im glad tohelp them get there sooner than later, not by murder but euthanasia.......

I am a military veteran and an atheist, and this is quite possibly one of the most idiotic questions I've ever heard anyone ask. However, to answer the question, we honor the memory of veterans for their service and sacrifice and hopefully this will inspire future generations to aspire to the same sense of commitment. We don't honor them based on any belief about the current status of their "soul".

TheKira699, one might imagine a better planet for humans if the thought and energy devoted to killing people by the millions were instead directed at ways to make life more pleasant and sustainable for them. Sometimes, living by your beliefs requires more courage and mindfulness than does dying for them.
Some forms of protecting our freedom is unnecessary. The wars that are most important are those that cull the human species back to a level where we are sustainable. Right now the human population is too high and cull has to eventuate or we'll drive ourselves to extinction. As for how the planet evolved, it had a lot to do with the collision of Earth and Theia, abou 4.5 billion years ago. The results caused the moon through two spinning bodies coalescing the rocks. It is put simply because I don't have the technical terms on hand. The planet went through some massive changes and 99% of all life on this planet is extinct. It went through the construction period, a snowball period then a total volcanic fire period, then you get an asteroid strike. All life on the planet now is a miniscule amount compared to all that gone before. If interested...look up a documentary called Catastrophe. Narrated by Tony Robinson. It explains an awful lot and uses experts.

ixlnxs, You look at Hitler as a the face of Evil, who did he kill in the death camps, the chosen People of God. Who killed God's only son? The Jews. Who kicks the Jews out of the promise land destroys the 2nd Jewish Temple. That would be Jesus, he tells you that in the Mt of Olvies, fulfilling Zechariah 13:7 prophecy. After the Jews paid this price, God had mercy on the Jews and they were sent back to the promise land. God makes good on all his promises even though this kick out of Israel was the longest about 1900+ years. But again they denied and killed Jesus. If you look hard enough you can figure out the exact year this was going to happen in Ezekiel. I will do the work for the blind, 1948, You can also find in Daniel the exact date when Jesus road in to Jerusalem on the Donkey fulfilling the Zechariah 9 prophecy, "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass." Daniel was written hundreds and hundreds of years before Jesus. God just got lucky on his prophecy again. The thing is God gets every prophecy right and every one comes to pass. God can not lie, which makes you a liar. Jesus was killed on the passover. Who is the Lamb of God? Yea the passover of the Lamb which is Jesus. Hello? The antichrist is not showing up as Hilter, oh no, he is too cunning and smart for that. I know how he is showing up, it is spelled out clear as day in God's wrath against sin. The ungodly and unrighteous will never see it coming, cause they believe not the truth. As Israel stands today, you have more prophetic fulfillment to come to pass in the near future. Jesus came to find the lost sheep of Israel. That is spiritual Israel which sits above, You must become citizens of spiritual Israel and not a Global Citizens of the NWO. One path leads to Heaven the other to the Lake of Fire.
+RandomNumber It is irrelevant to those who study his crimes, but not to those who study the religion. Religions have always claimed the good as their own and the evil as outsiders. We have every right to call them out on their lies.

That... Was one of the most fucking stupid, inane, incoherent mess of a statement I've ever heard. You're honouring the fucking dead. You're not honouring their spirit or some god. You'r honouring them. What they were. Their death doesn't erase them from fucking memory or history, you fucking idiotic bimbo.

+Ness Pyrosa Ever heard the statement, "You get out of it what you put into it"?
+Ness Pyrosa "purpose" is a value statement. Value attribution is imposed on X by the living. So it is actually the dead that have no purpose. To say life has no purpose is the most anti-life statement you could make.

If you believe that this life you're in now is all there is, doesn't it make sense that it would be all the more precious because of it?

trevorpom, love how the lost try to teach the Gospel. Judge not less you be Judged. We are given authority to judge righteous, to reprove exhort and rebuke in all sound doctrine. Why would Jesus let you in to his house when you deny he even existed? Going to use a parable..... And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen.

Arguably the atheists that died for their country gave much more than the religious. The atheist is giving everything, the believer is only giving up the lesser of two lives.

which makes any sacrifice a non believer make more honest, real n meaningful.  n not because you'd b rewarded with an imaginary afterlife
Just imagine:  the woman went to a university. It is one more proof, that American education system is totally worthless. She is a TOTAL IDIOT, but graduated with an award.(I'm from Europe so I know what I'm talking about). Absolutely ridiculous. She must have fucked her way up through all the professors. In Europe a journalist would not have the courage to say something THAT stupid.

I have not been to US really, not for the time I would need to determine this, but from what I have seen (people I meet, internet, etc), I think that US has more extremes, i.e. the smart people are a lot smarter, and the dumb people are a lot dumber. And because the extremes show most (obviously), people tend to compare themselves to what they see. But as you say, you can't compare entire Europe vs entire USA. Other reason I can think of is the past and patriotism. And of course, confirmation bias. USA and EU would learn different things, so if you meet someone and he/she doesn't know the same things, as you, you will remember the things they didn't know, some things being incredibly obvious to you, making both sides think they are the smarter ones. All that said though, all Americans I have met were crazy in some way. That is not necessarily bad though.

They are mindless apes, lest we forget.
Ancestral worship is an essential practice of most tribal cultures and is still very visible today in Asian communities. It's a vestige of the evolution of consciousness, ie. perfectly natural to venerate through ritual the people who brought us into existence, who's wisdom and values we have learned and depend upon. Remembering our antecedents and heroes helps keep us safe and feeling like we belong to a functional social system, especially when it brings us together as a group. Being a dependable tool of social self-regulation also means we can expect the convention to be a go-to for authoritarian mind-control programs, both small and large. Perhaps, instinctively you know all this, and because you smell a rat, you beg the question.
