I LOVE it when the girls wax philosophical! Gladys Horton (on lead), and Wanda Rogers and Katherine Anderson (Schaffner) teach us how NOT to get our hearts broken...Ladies...YOU'RE TOO LATE!

Will somebody please explain to me why The Marvelettes are not in the Rock & Roll hall of fame?????  Thanks for posting. Always loved this group.

I've asked myself the same question for years. Makes NO sense at all!!

Because they were considered No.3 of the 4 Motown girl groups, especially in terms of importance to Berry, The Marvelettes' fame and success meant nothing to him, one of the reasons The Supremes were as famous as they were was because of Diana's affair with him. This was probably Berry's order of importance for girl groups: 1. (Diana Ross &) The Supremes 2. Martha (Reeves) & The Vandellas 3. The Marvelettes 4. The Velvelettes

Another example of how The Marvelettes benefited from Motown's Artist Development Department. Look how much confidence they projected during the performance because they knew exactly what they had to do the moment they took the stage. And Gladys knocked this song out of the ballpark.
How did we get from this fantastic music to todays crap?
i just love the way Gladys is dancing...

One of the best Motown songs ever! I cannot believe it only peaked at #25. Marvelettes put Motown on the map , then got screwed!
