Just completed the conversion of ShopBot Buddy PRS Alpha to KFlop motion controller and KMotionCNC. I made a custom PCB with an LVTTL RS-485 module to talk to the VFD using Modbus. This is one of the first parts attempted after the conversion. It is an insert than goes into a tote to hold sample bottles. Originally this machine shipped with ShopBots proprietary software that uses Open SBP (shopbot protocol) and very limited g-code support. It was decided we needed something more in line with our other machines. Material is 0.5" UHMW. Cutter is 0.25" two flute carbide endmill. Running about 220 ipm.
