Congratulations! You have been invited as one of many contestants to participate in The Liar Game. Of course, this isn't just any Liar Game—this is an editing tournament. As such, we're doing things a little differently.

Let us explain: as the name suggests, this will be a tournament involving the art of lies, tricks, and deception. Keep in mind that nothing is as it seems. If you accept this invitation and are selected by us, the judges, to participate in the actual Liar Game Tournament, you are willingly agreeing to participate in this tournament in full awareness of the fact that you may deceive and be deceived by your fellow opponents. And even the judges may have a few tricks in store...

As we are extending this invitation to so many of you, consider this the start of the Liar Game's "audition round." Feel free to either accept or decline this invitation. Should you wish to accept, simply submit a video entry to this invitation and show off the best of your editing skills. We require that this entry:

• Be at least thirty seconds minimum in length, two minutes maximum.
• Use all footage, music, and effects that you feel most comfortable with. This may be the only time you get to do so in this competition.
• Show off the best of your skills. We would like to see how serious you are about entering our tournament.

In addition, people have been concerned about whether they need to make a new video for this round, so we would like to add that old OR new videos are acceptable for this audition. Simply show us something that coincides with the other three rules.

The deadline for this first "audition round" is set for June 27th. Of the submitted entries, we will judge each one in turn and select a certain number from among them. Only the best will be selected, of course. The editors of these selected entries will become the formally approved contestants in the following rounds of the Liar Game. We will contact these approved participants with further information at that time regarding the rules of the Liar Game's First Round.

Consider this "audition round" our game's brief display of honesty. This tournament is all meant in good fun, needless to say. Remember that this is not only a chance to show off your editing skills, but your composure and intellect as well. Should you persevere through all the rounds, deceive your competition or make tried and trusted allies, and display to us your dedication, you might well be crowned our official Liar King!

We eagerly anticipate your responses...
