A random act of kindness by college athletes made the day at the beach special for a brain cancer patient in Orlando. Christina Johnson, who is currently undergoing brain cancer treatment at MD Anderson Orlando took a break over the Easter weekend for a visit to Daytona Beach. As she sat in her wheelchair on the beach watching the surf, she wanted to be able to get closer to the water, but her wheelchair held her back. That's when spring breakers passing by stopped what they were doing and offered to carry Christina in her wheelchair to the surf so she could feel the water. The spring breakers were basketball and soccer players from St. Bonaventure University and Medaille College near Buffalo, the six guys stayed with Christina while she enjoyed the water and then carried her back up the beach when she was ready. Christina's parents say they are forever grateful to these players for this truly random act of kindness that made their daughter feel like a princess. After the players carried Christina back up the beach, they got a round of applause and were met with plenty of tears as well. Christina has a type of brain tumor called an astrocytoma that has required surgery, radiation and biochemotherapy.
