Stay in one of Savannah's historic B&B's, romantic inns and cozy boutiques, walking distance from the 22 unique public squares. For history and romance, check into the Mansion on Forsyth or The Gastonian, both of which get points for service and elegance.

For those, looking to do some shopping, head on over to City Market, the rehabilitated four block area is home to working artist studios from fine art to contemporary, where one can explore the many art galleries, speciality shops and boutiques offering unique gifts and works of arts.

Kerry Harried: The art scene here is amazing. I would say it's very eclectic; there is little something for everybody. It's just a matter of just walking around and seeing it. It's great.

Nathan Kanis: The inspiration is Paula Deen, you know her story from having 250 dollars in her pocket to coming to this is huge fresh shot in it's a beautiful city, and her great food you know is really touchy to a lot of people.

Ryan Thompson: We take a lot of pride in what we serve. We've been doing it for over 70 years. It's a very unique experience. So you get to stand in line with people you don't know and then come in and share a meal with them.

Female Speaker: When night falls, taking a show at The Historic Savannah Theater or get goosebumps and hear first hand about the most haunted city in the country with the guided ghost walk, take a stroll down river walk and take in the great views, restaurants and pubs.

For a change of pace and geography, just 20 minutes from Savannah's Historic District is Tybee Island, where you can enjoy great sandy beaches, take a dolphin tour, kayak, fish, climb the oldest and tallest lighthouse, watch the shrimp boats come home to bring in their catches and dine at one of Tybee's funky seaside bungalows.
