At 6 am local time Sunday September 1, 2013, battalions of Iraqi Army, joined by the Iraqi SWAT teams, launched an all-out ambush on camp Ashraf aimed at killing all of 100 residents. The death toll has already reached 52 and is still rising. Many are wounded, scores abducted, among them six women. Nine wounded residents were killed execution-style by the Iraq's SWAT teams in the camp's clinic. Many of the murdered residents died of single bullet to the head. At least five of the residents were shot to death while handcuffed.
