Let's see what this baby can do.
I'm testing game performance on the Ouya console.
I downloaded a bunch of android apps and games off of apkgiant.com and mobi44.com.
This is the developers console and prototype, so out of the box it doesn't really come with anything other than a few dev tools and a test game.
I'm playing Super Mario 64 on the Mupen64plus emulator.
And it works great!
Before you start playing this on the TV screen, you should turn off VIrtual Gamepad (on screen buttons) and change your map buttons.
I show you this in the video.
If you're using a keyboard like me, you probably want the arrow keys to work.
So here's how you do that:
Connect the ouya to your pc, go to /system/usr/keylayout/ directory and modifying the gt2_keypad0.kl file specifically the following keys:
key 215
key 217
key 150
key 218
The Ouya console comes with 8 gig of flash storage, which I can already see is not enough.
It comes with 1 gig of ram and a Tegra 3.
This is an okay console. Great for indie games 2D games and a lot of 3D games, and emulators and perfect as a smart tv.
All in all, worth a buy. And when they release this console, it'll hopefully have tons of great games.
Thanks for watching
