EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS: This video show you how to set up and operate the Fire Station Ham Radio Kits. A kit is stored in each Portland Fire & Rescue (Oregon) fire station. During a disaster the kits are operated by volunteer Neighborhoo Emergency Team (NET) members with Ham licenses to provide backup radio communications for disaster response. Each kit has three ways to power it and three ways to give it an antenna: there's a backup to the backup. Presented by N7KPN, the designer of the kit.
