The Killing Class by David Fielding, Directed by Suzann McLean, Produced by Y&T Rep Company.

Set in a young offender's prison, THE KILLING CLASS is an emotional and highly charged play with a storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's 'Scum' meets 'The History Boys' with a twist of 'Romeo & Juliet'.

8 boys all on a secluded unit for murderers. 8 girls all in a separate prison incarcerated for petty crimes. A Governor, a Warden, a Drama Tutor & a Psychiatrist. Teenagers Steven and Tia meet when the pair are put together as part of a programme on social integration. Both are going to be put into Adult Prison. Young love blossoms with deadly and surprising consequences. Is there no one around who can save these already damaged teens?

"McLean's direction... packs more punches than many productions twice that length. Tense, disturbing and utterly compelling...perfectly formed." Yorkshire Post ****
