Edited video of our day mountain biking down Mt Wilson/Mt Lowe "Frontside". Brian from BKXC hit me up months ago about coming down and riding with me. This was when he had less than 100 subscribers, now he has over 30k and still growing. I wanted to take Brian down Mt Wilson “Frontside” because it’s my favorite trail. We took the 10am shuttle to the top (www.scoaoutdoors.net). We got dropped off on Eaton Saddle 5,100 ft and climbed 1 mile to the top (elevation 5,400 ft) and bombed down 13.5 miles. There are only 3 short 1 mile climbs. “Frontside” is basically broken down in 4 sections all different and fun; Echo Chutes 3.6 miles (Top Section) which is fast and steep, Sam Merrill 2.4 miles (fast and chunky), Sunset Ridge 2.4 (fast and flowy) and El Prieto (ups and downs with streams) 1.7 miles. I took Brian down Mt Wilson with my LA Crew, the next day I took him with the OC crew to Aliso Woods and Laguna, most of the trails down Mt Wilson are rated black diamond on Trailforks, it is very steep and rocky with tons of exposure. Brian mashed down all the trails with no problems. Riders: Tommy (Intense T275c), Brian (Santa Cruz Bronson), Dave (Santa Cruz Nomad), Mondo (Transition Supressor), Vinny (Giant Trance), David (Transition Scout) and Mark (Santa Cruz Nomad). Trails ridden: Echo Mountain Chutes 0.9 mi, -17.5% Just the Steeps (Chutes) 0.3 mi, -29.6% Middle Sam Merrill DH trail 2.4 mi, -9.3% Sunset (Tree to Sierra Saddle) 0.8 mi, -10% Sunset (Table to Final Switchback) 1.0 mi, -13.7% Single Track to Millard Camp 0.7 mi, -7.7% El Prieto DH Trail 1.6 mi, -8.4%
