Dr. Kevin Kirby, sports podiatrist, discusses basic and advanced running biomechanics and the most recent scientific research on running footstrike patterns. Current popular myths and misconceptions regarding footstrike patterns during running are also explored and discussed. Dr. Kirby has been in private practice in Sacramento for over 29 years and is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Biomechanics at the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland, CA. This lecture was given in Sacramento, California at a local running shoe store on July 30, 2014.
