Doug Hamilton talks to Dan Pote about the Subsurfer, a new poultry litter spreader that precisely "injects" poultry litter into perennial pastures. Litter drops into a small slit in the turf. The subsurfer reduces nitrogen losses, odor emissions, and surface runoff compared to broadcast spreading.
